If you haven't already, we recommend that you watch our Getting Started video. This video will probably answer several questions you already have... and some you didn't know you needed to ask!
Step 1 is to specify your requirements via our instant quote form. You'll find a quote form on most pages of our website... but you can always use the link at the top of the page.
Start the quote process by choosing the quality of finish you need. Select full colour if your label will require a full color range, photo quality finish. If cost is your primary criteria, we have a budget option for labels of simple design with no more than 3 colours.
Full colour labels can be printed on either paper or vinyl. Our photo quality paper labels can be laminated with a clear film on top of the substrate to seal in the ink and protect the label from UV rays and liquid spillage. Vinyl, on the other hand, is a good choice for more demanding applications, particularly where the label must be waterproof. Vinyl comes in a variety of types suitable for a range of applications and won't fade as much over time.
We can print full colour labels in any shape, but you'll need to enter an overall width and height for quoting purposes.
We can supply full colour labels either in sheet format or on a roll. If the roll option is selected, let us know whether you will apply the label by hand or by machine and we can arrange for any machine applied labels to come off the roll either narrow edge first or wide edge first.
Budget labels are printed using what is known as thermal transfer technology. The advantage of this well proven method is economy, however there is a trade-off in quality of finish and flexibility:
Regardless of whether you choose full colour labels or the budget option, some specifications are common to both:
You can choose a printed proof to ensure that the finished product is exactly what you envisaged.
When you complete the quote process, you'll be provided with a reference code that you can use to place an order.
You can do that either by using the contact form on our site, via email or by phone (call 0508 33 44 77).
Note that you'll need to convey the quote reference number to our customer service personnel at the time you place your order. If you use our contact form, the quote reference will be included automatically.
Either way, it's always a good idea to confirm the details of your order with our staff and if you don't have that reference number, you'll need to repeat the specification process.
After the order is placed, you'll need to send us your print ready artwork.
You can either send artwork to us as an email attachment or you can upload larger files to our server via our upload page. Note that you'll need to request a special code to use the upload form.
Please also note that your artwork must meet certain specifications. You'll find those specifications detailed on the artwork and design page.
If you don't already have artwork, we do have a graphic designer available, who for a reasonable charge, can produce artwork to a 'print ready' state.
Upon receipt of your artwork, we'll produce a proof of the finished product and request your approval. Once your proof has been approved, we'll schedule your order for production and request payment.
We accept all major credit cards and direct credit deposits.
Production normally takes 7-10 business days... but if you need something faster, let us know and we'll do our best to help you out.
That's it . . . that's all you have to do to start enjoying the best short run custom label printing service in New Zealand. Provided your artwork meets our requirements, there are no setup fees and proofs are free as well.
